Inductions

At the start of each semester the current members of Upsilon Pi Epsilon review and nominate Computer Science students to join Upsilon Pi Epsilon. Membership can consist of both undergraduate and graduate students.  The conditions are as follows:

Undergraduate

Completed at least 15 semester hours of computer science courses, and have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0, a computer science grade point average of at least 3.3, and rank in the top 35% of all computer science students satisfying the credit requirement.

Graduate

Completed at least eighteen semester hours for graduate credit, and have a grade point average of at least 3.6 (Exclusive of research and seminar courses).

Once selected, the student will be mailed a letter to join the Upsilon Pi Epsilon society which must be either accepted, rejected, or deferred. Students can only be invited to join Upsilon Pi Epsilon once, so if rejected the opportunity will not come again. Then the actual induction will take place in the spring.
